Rev. Jacob Young, PhD

About Me

Pastor Jacob was born and raised in South Korea with two sisters and a brother. He is the youngest sibling. At the age of 15, he had a conversion experience and made up his mind to become a pastor. He married, Grace, in 1994. Then in 1995, he came to America to study theology. While studying and doing ministry, his wife and he became naturalized American citizens. He has two sons: Eric and Patrick. Eric, the oldest, was recently admitted to the University of Maryland College Park. Patrick, the second son, is 13 years old and starting the 8th grade. His wife, Grace, is an accountant. The family is happy to start new spiritual journey with Emmanuel UMC.
